Speaking out about Rotherham

The events in Rotherham are appalling, but frustratingly there’s a perception that the British

Pakistani community (particularly men) aren't as loud, unequivocal or as universal in their

criticism as they should be publicly. Members of the community need to vigorously condemn

these events, not mitigate it by blaming the media by claiming a witch-hunt, and become

involved in progressive community engagement. We need to do so because it’s the best way

to prove that multiculturalism is a force for good and to show our community’s best and true

nature.
