Bilal speaks at Labour Party Conference

Bilal joined various faith groups at the Labour Party Conference to talk about how faith plays a part in campaigning. The event was chaired by John Denham MP.

Bilal was delighted to attend a large fringe event hosted by the Labour Christian Forum and Sikhs for Labour to discuss how the Muslim faith can work with the Labour Party. Given the variety of concerns around the Muslim world, it's more important than ever for the Muslim community to show their true nature, to dispel myths that it's a fundamentally hostile faith and that there is no better way to defeat the growing tide of racism and Islamaphobia than to engage as proud, committed members of British society through the political process.

The event was well received, with future events in the near future. Should you wish to get involved please contact us.
