Bilal and CWG Labour meet Valley residents

Labour PPC Bilal Mahmood and members of the Chingford and Woodford Green Labour Party were out in force meeting residents in Valley ward this weekend. IMG_0733.JPG

Many residents were welcoming and glad to see Labour out meeting residents and wanted to hear more from Bilal about issues that mattered. For many in the local area, a lack of transport links and local crime is a problem. Bilal was on hand with Labour Councillor Aktar Beg to hear more about a growing drugs-related and unwelcome presence. Both Bilal and Aktar committed to learn more and take these issues back to the Labour council.

Bilal said 'people in this area work hard to keep the area clean, safe and welcoming. The growing problem at the end of Westward Road needs to be highlighted to the Council. I will do all I can to help turn back the tide of unwelcome people hanging around late in the evening.'
